Ditto is a print magazine about finding joy in processes of production and methods of making. It's created by Phil James, a writer from London, and Paul Lyward, who owns the print factory where the magazine comes to life.
In Volume One we feature artisan trades, including tapestry weaving, haberdashery and glass blowing, alongside articles on broader themes such as writing, sustainable farming and photography. Our first ever edition is available to buy online. You can also find it in person, at Magalleria in Bath and at Magazine Brighton.

Phil is a feature writer, creative copywriter and content strategist, with a love for words and type. Usually based in London, he is now writing his way around the world and making Volume Two on the road. Follow @p_d_james
Paul Lyward, Founder & Print Business Owner
Having started out as a driver in their factory, Paul now owns Windsor Print and has grown the company to employ twenty staff. This magazine is a labour of love for Paul, and is printed on his Heidelberg litho press.
Studio 3 x 8, Graphic Direction
Anglo/Dutch design duo Alice Rogers and Lieke Dröge met while studying at university in Brighton and bonded over a mutual love of Japanese envelope design. Together they make up Studio 3 x 8 and design Ditto.
Paul Akinrinlola, Photography Direction
Photographer, videographer and producer, Paul works with a range of agencies and businesses on their creative. He owns and runs Method Studio, a video and photography studio in central London.
